What does Rooibos tea do for you?

Rooibos tea also known as red tea or bush tea  and is from South Africa.
Rooibos tea like green and white tea has been found to be rich in anti-oxidants. Rooibos tea is also strongly recommended for people suffering from irritability, headaches, disturbed sleeping patterns, insomnia,  nervous tension, mild depression or hypertension. Rooibos tea contains no caffeine and therefore has a soothing effect on the central nervous system. Rooibos tea is also low in tannin and therefore does not have a negative effect on the absorption of iron and proteins into the body.
Rooibos tea is an all day drink as it is caffeine free and can be consumed with or without milk. Taken at night before bed, can help you to relax before sleep.

In 1904 the United States was ready for the world to see her development at teh St Louis World's fair.
Trade exhibitors from around the world brought their products to America's first St. Louis World's Fair.
One merchant was Richard Blechynden, and he owned a tea plantation.. He had planned to give away free samples of hot tea to the visitors at the fair, then a heat wave hit, and no one was interested in hot tea.

So that he did not waste the tea, this merchant added ice into the brewed tea and served the first 'iced tea'.   It was a great success.
